All full day reef trips offer snorkelling with the option to scuba dive and some operators have additional facilities for those not wanting to snorkel or to snorkel too much that include glass bottom boats, semi submarines, helicopter scenic flights and pontoon facilities with underwater viewing theatres (no need to get wet, yet still view the beautiful Great Barrier Reef!!). SUNLOVER CRUISES

Join the friendly Sunlover crew for a memorable trip to our Outer Barrier Reef pontoon at Moore Reef daily from Cairns. The Moore Reef Cruise is a full day offering more time at the reef with approximately 4 hours to spend experiencing the numerous activities.

Lunch will be served once you have arrived at the pontoon and includes a hot and cold buffet seafood with a wide variety of tastes to cater for most palates.

If you have never snorkelled before or need a refresher make sure you listen in on the snorkelling demonstration presented on the lower deck. They will give you tips on how best to maximize your snorkelling experience.

The specialized Reef Naturalists will present the wonders of the reef on the lower deck once the vessel is in transit. This is a great opportunity to learn about the wonders you are about to see and with some extra knowledge appreciate just how incredible the reef really is.

The glass bottom boat and semi submersible rides leave every 20 minutes from the back of the pontoon. This is a great way to experience the reef without getting wet.

Before you depart for your journey home a fish feeding is provided for your enjoyment from the back of the pontoon. The feed can be viewed either n the deck or via the underwater theatre.

The Touch Tank is a wonderful way to experience the unique creatures of the reef up close and personal and the Underwater Viewing Theatre is just another way to see the reef from a different angle.
